Orchestre Partout organizes weekly music activities in five asylum seeker centers spread across the country, in Amsterdam, Den Helder, Heerhugowaard, Nijmegen and Drachten. The participants form a ‘learning ensemble’ that plays concerts in the asylum center and beyond.
Residents -speaking many different languages- can discover, develop and share their talent. All are welcome. The door is always open. Passion is just as important as talent.
Orchestre Partout makes a simple arrangement for each song so all participants can play along. A song from Syria can be accompanied by musicians from Iran or Algeria or East Turkestan etc.
Every other year we organize the family concert ‘Mundo Sonora’ at each location, where musicians from the asylum center play together with a local brass band in the theater.
